Gymnastics

 

History:

Gymnastics started in ancient greek at the very first Olympic games.

 

Equipment:

The equipment you will need to play is two parallel rings 50cm apart, 2 uneven bars, the top bar needs to be 2.4m above the floor and the lower bar needs to be 1.6m high, high bar, a bar standing 2.75 meters high, pommel horse, 155 centimeters with two handles, parallel bars, an apparatus consisting of two wooden rails uprights, beatboard, the springboard used in men’s and women’s vault, and more.

 

How to Play or the Basic Rules:

In artistic events men compete on the floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bars. Female gymnasts compete on the vault, uneven bar, balance beam, and floor. The competition includes all-round events and team events scored over each apparatus.
