Judo

Judo was formed in Japan. In 1938 it was put in schools. There’s a lot of history to Judo. A guy named Tokyo Hirano brought judo to Europe. Judo made its first appearance in 1964 at Olympic Games. Women’s judo made its appearance in 1992 to Olympic Games.

To practice or play judo you’ll need a person to supervise you and you’ll need a mat, some tape, and of course a uniform and belt. You also have five minutes to score as much points as possible. Did you know judo is derived from jiu-jitsu?

Here’s how you play: there are two people, there’s no choking, and one throw to the mat is a point. Men and women compete in seven different weight categories after weight withdraw of 1984. In 1967 a judo class for Olympic practice was opened.
